November 20

This morning, I woke up and my voice was gone... It's a little weird, because this has NEVER happened to me. I'm not really sure why it did today either.. I went to the basketball game, but I didn't really yell that much... and I don't really feel sick either. I sound like I'm dying, but I feel fine... Anyway, it's pretty weird/exciting for me. We'll see how long it lasts... Hopefully I don't actually end up sick!

November 20

   I'm being bombarded by marriage this week. I'm not really sure what to think about it.
   First, I know three couples who got engaged this week, and another girl who had her bridal shower this weekend. I am very happy for all parties involved, but I am so far from being married that it is strange to think about.
   Second, I went to this... party? Sure, party, at a fine jewelry store this week, because a friend told me it would be fun. It was entertaining, but everyone there DEFINITELY had marriage on the brain. I watched six grown women demolish a cake in 2.5 seconds, hoping to find a .5 carat diamond ring, and came to the conclusion that getting married makes people crazy.
   Third, in both of my institute classes this week, we discussed marriage. That's it. Everything marriage. We even discussed the awkward feeling I get inside whenever this topic comes up. It's normal, it's ok to feel weird about it... but get married anyway! I'm sure we'll end up discussing it all at some point tomorrow during church as well, because we always do...
   
   All of this makes me mildly uncomfortable... just so everyone knows.

My roommates are on a cleanse diet. That means they won't eat anything until Wednesday... ANYTHING. But don't worry, it's on the internet, so that means it's good!!

I aced my chemistry exam this morning! I did really bad on the last exam, and I was worried. The good news is, I can do chemistry. It's hard, but I can do it.
Which is good news, because I pretty much have a major declared! That's right. I met with one adviser today. And I'm meeting with two more on Friday. As of Friday, I am no longer undeclared. I hope you're happy :P.

I was reading some other blogs today, and it occurred to me that mine is not terribly exciting. I don't post detailed (or super vague) descriptions of my love life (largely because it's hard to write about something that doesn't exist..), or super juicy stories (largely because nothing juicy ever happens to me that I feel comfortable sharing with the public). I post about my love for Ben Gibbard, and weird things that I see on the freeway. Maybe this is why only two people read my blog... but I'm ok with that :). My life is boring, and I'm not trying to broadcast it as anything else. Maybe this is why only two people read my blog... but I'm ok with that :). That just means that you must REALLY love me, so thanks :P.

Today, I busted out my ugly sweater collection. Bring it on, winter in Logan!
Also, we finished our chemistry lab in record time.. for once. It was refreshing.
And, I decided to procrastinate grocery shopping a little longer. Which means all I have to eat tonight is.. crepes! But hey, I'm not complaining :P.
All in all, not a terrible Thursday!

I hate technology.
First, my laptop charger broke. So I got a new one. Now, my computer says I should consider replacing my battery.
Sure enough, my warranty JUST expired.

I have not been doing a very good job of keeping this blog updated. The last few weeks have been a little crazy! This is mostly why:

 That's right. Brian finally cut his hair!! :P

He is currently in the Provo MTC, and I'm very happy for him :).

Now that he's gone, I will have a lot more time to kill, and you can probably expect more frequent blog posts from me. I'm sure you're elated.

Well, I'm done moving. Halfway done, anyway. All of my stuff is in Logan, now that I've emptied out my room at the McNeil's :P.
The last few weeks have gone by so fast! I guess with being on vacation and moving and classes starting and everything, I've just had a lot to do. The next few weeks will probably be crazy too. We'll see how I do :S.
So, classes. I like my Chemistry professor a lot. I'm a little ticked at my Biology professor, but I'm sure he didn't tell me to buy the wrong book on purpose. I think I will like my Institute class, so hopefully I will actually go this semester :P. And I'm VERY scared for my bug class tomorrow. For the love of insects!

I have lots of things I need to post about. But, first and foremost, I'm missing a Death Cab for Cutie concert. Ben Gibbard. Right this second. In Salt Lake. And I'm in Logan. I'm pretty cranky about it :(. 

But Evan is here to wallow and watch Anastasia with me. At college. So that's good.

Today, my cute roommate Taylor made me dinner. It was tasty.
Then we went running, and I threw it all up. Not tasty.
Apparently, I'm in even worse shape than I had thought... :(

July 27 - Indian Oven

Today, The Kjar's took us to the Indian Oven. I've never had Indian food, and I probably have the lowest spice tolerance of anybody on planet earth, so I was a little worried about how the evening would go. Especially because Brian and his uncle like their food VERY spicy. Fortunately, they got the hot sauce on the side, so I could eat pretty much everything without too much difficulty. I did have to down several glasses of water, but it was a very enjoyable meal.

I'm going to try not be as horribly inconsistent as I was with my other blog, but no promises. It's been a week since I posted last, during which, I:

Visited my family in their new Vernal home. 

Ditched a family reunion and had a movie marathon with my Dad. 

Was teased mercilessly for shooing an obnoxious insect. 

Found some 3D glasses that I WILL steal from my father. 

Celebrated Pioneer Day with the McNeil's. 

Lit lots of things on fire. 

Actually, 

watched Brian light lots of things on fire.

Acquired several mosquito bites.

Watched Boy Meets World. And Psych. And some creepish movies with my roommates.

Logan

Logan is killing me. The only interaction I've had with anyone all day is with the guy who lives upstairs. He has now borrowed the first five Harry Potter movies from me. He comes down, gives me which ever movie he has finished with, and asks for the next one. I give it to him, and he leaves. It started last night, and he's been here three times this afternoon. I thought about going up and watching it with them, but I didn't.
So instead, I've watched 8 episodes of Scrubs, started a blog, made fried rice... and that's it. I almost went running, but I waited too long. Now it's dark. I keep waiting for my roommates to come back, but I haven't seen anyone. Except the guy from upstairs.


Logan reminds me of this poem:

Birds are flyin' south for winter.

I really enjoy this poem. I think my time in Logan would be more enjoyable if I felt more like the bird. Or if it was a little closer to winter. One of my roommates is violently opposed to turning the air conditioning on, so we're sweating it out. 

Anyway. I'm on episode 9. 5 more weeks til school starts and Logan becomes populated again. But who's counting.

I wasn't going to blog...

Today, my Netflix isn't working. My apartment is roasting hot. Taylor is still at work. I have nothing to do. And I don't really have anywhere to go. So, I caved.  I sort of started half a blog for my mom when I moved out, but I haven't been very good at posting regularly. Or interesting..ly. It's been pretty boring. It will probably still be boring, but I've decided I'm going to try anyway.
So anyway. I'm blogging now. I'm sure you're really excited. :)
